A LITTLE GUIDANCE. A LOT MORE CONFIDENCE.

Your station.
Step by step.

Everything you need to get your church or school on air, keep the music moving, and share the messages that matter.

Open my account ↗
01 / GETTING STARTED

Your first five minutes.

  1. Create an account with your real email address and your church or school name. Choose a password of at least 12 characters.
  2. From My account, choose Subscribe for $9.99/month. Review the amount and recurring subscription in Stripe before paying. Creating an account alone does not charge you.
  3. Return to your account after checkout. Once Stripe confirms payment, Ministry Radio prepares your private station. The page updates as the studio becomes ready.
  4. Choose Open my studio. In Music library, select the groups you want in rotation. Unselected groups do not play.
  5. In Overview, choose Start station. Open your listening page and tap Listen live.
Your studio controls your station. Your listening page is the link you share with your community.
02 / ACCOUNTS & ACCESS

Accounts & studio access.

Where do I sign in?

Use Sign in, then open your studio from My account. Each customer has a separate studio, music selection, and announcement library. A customer login does not open the site owner's studio.

I see a name or email that is not mine.

You may be signed into an earlier account on this browser. Choose Sign out on the account page, then sign in with your own email or create your own account. Don't subscribe under someone else's account.

I forgot my password.

Choose Forgot your password on the sign-in page and enter your account email. If an account matches, a reset link is emailed to that address. The link expires after 30 minutes and works once. After saving a new password, sign in again; existing sessions are signed out. Resetting your password does not change your subscription or station. Never send anyone your password or card details.

Will I get a welcome email?

New accounts receive a welcome email from Ministry Radio at jorge@sundancebeats.com. Creating an account does not take payment. If an account email is missing, check Junk and Trash and your blocked-sender settings. Temporary sending failures retry automatically; delivery can take time.

Can listeners open my studio?

Your listening link lets visitors hear your active station. Studio controls require the station owner's signed-in account. Share the listening link rather than your account credentials.

03 / SUBSCRIPTION & BILLING

Subscription & billing.

What does Ministry Radio cost?

The current plan is $9.99 USD per month for one station. Checkout creates a recurring subscription, which continues until canceled. Always review the amount and terms shown in Stripe before confirming.

Where do I change my card or cancel?

Sign in, open My account, and choose Manage billing. Stripe's secure portal lets you update your payment method, view invoices, and cancel. Cancellation is configured for the end of the billing period; the portal shows the applicable date.

I paid, but my studio is not ready.

Stay on your account page while payment confirmation and station setup finish. If it still looks pending, refresh once and check the account's subscription status. Do not repeatedly purchase another subscription. Save your Stripe receipt or invoice number and report the problem to your station provider.

My card failed, or my station became inactive.

Open Manage billing and check your payment method and outstanding invoices. A past-due, paused, or ended subscription can stop station access. Saved station data is retained; access returns after a valid subscription is confirmed and the station is ready.

Can the site owner test cards without using a station slot?

Yes. In the owner’s admin studio, open Station settings → Sandbox credit-card test. This separate tool simulates a one-time $9.99 payment using Stripe test cards. It never reserves or creates a station, changes a live subscription, or charges real money. Use only Stripe test card numbers, never real card details. A test passes only after a signed sandbox webhook confirms it. This does not test monthly renewals or station provisioning. The tool is available only to the site owner.

All station slots are in use.

This server has a limited number of station slots. Ministry Radio reserves a slot before starting checkout. If no slot is available, checkout stops with a message and does not take a payment. Try again when the station provider has made capacity available.

04 / YOUR MUSIC LIBRARY

Your music library.

How does the included Sonday Radio music catalog work?

New music is added to the included catalog weekly. The catalog syncs from SundanceBeats. Available source folders import automatically about every 15 minutes, each into its own music group. Use Sync music now to check sooner. Imported songs can be in the library without being selected to play.

New folders are discovered automatically and begin out of rotation. Existing rotation selections and weights are preserved when the catalog syncs.

How do I upload my own songs?

Open Music library, choose a destination group, then use Choose MP3 files or drop MP3s onto the upload area. You can select several files. Each music file opens its own Music upload rights popup, including drag-and-drop uploads. Read the linked Music Upload Terms, check the rights declaration, and choose Accept and upload. The checkbox starts unchecked for every file. Cancel stops the remaining files; files already uploaded stay in your library. Wait for completion, then check the library and group rotation selection.

How do I add our church band or worship team to rotation?

Use an MP3 recording you have permission to stream online. In Music library, create or choose a group for your church band or worship team, upload the recording, and accept the rights declaration for each file. Select that group for normal rotation and keep the song’s In rotation checkbox checked. Higher group weights give that group more selection chances. To feature the band at a particular time, include its group in a scheduled music window.

Owning your band’s recording does not automatically give you streaming rights to a song written by someone else. Obtain the permissions needed for covers and other third-party works before uploading.

What music am I allowed to use?

Included Sonday Radio catalog music is free to use on your Ministry Radio station. For music you upload, you must own or obtain all permissions required for online broadcasting, including applicable rights in the sound recording, composition, and lyrics. Buying a song does not grant streaming rights. Covers and third-party recordings require permission that expressly covers this station’s use. A CCLI or other church license must not be assumed to cover a 24/7 radio station; check its actual coverage with your provider. Your subscription does not provide licenses for your own uploads.

Can I exclude a song without deleting it?

In Music library → Your songs, uncheck the song’s In rotation checkbox. The row shows Excluded · kept in library. The recording remains saved but is excluded from both normal and scheduled music rotations. Check it again to make it eligible. Its group must also be eligible in the current rotation. This is separate from selecting an entire music group.

What does accepting the music-upload terms do?

Acceptance records the declaration, terms version, station identifier, filename, file fingerprint, and time for each completed music upload. It is a declaration of your permissions, not a copyright scan or license verification. The popup applies only to manually uploaded music; sermon uploads, DJ audio uploads, and automatic catalog sync do not show it. You still need permission for all content you broadcast, including music inside sermons or DJ recordings.

Can I change song information or create a group?

Use a song's edit controls to change the available title, artist, or artwork fields. Use New group to organize your music. Check the selected upload group before adding new files. The cloud version does not rip CDs.

05 / ROTATION, SCHEDULES & WEIGHTS

Genres, rotation & weights.

How do I choose the genres that play?

In Music library → Music groups, select the groups you want in rotation, such as hip hop or ambient worship. Leave other groups unselected for your normal mix. A scheduled music window uses its own selected groups and weights, even if those groups are off in the normal mix. Ministry Radio does not substitute genres outside the active mix.

If nothing plays, make sure at least one selected group has enabled, playable songs. Library availability and rotation selection are separate.

Does a higher weight mean more plays?

Yes. Weight controls how often an eligible group is chosen relative to other selected groups. A weight of 2 gives a group roughly twice the selection chance of a weight of 1 when both are eligible. It does not guarantee an exact sequence or number of plays.

Selecting a group enables it for rotation; its weight sets its relative frequency. Groups unselected in the active mix do not play regardless of weight. Scheduled windows use their own selections.

What about holiday or seasonal music?

Holiday groups play only within their saved date range and while selected in the normal mix or active scheduled window. Check the station timezone and update the dates each season. If a seasonal group is outside its window, its songs are not eligible.

How do scheduled music rotations work?

In Music library, add a named music window, choose weekdays and start/end times, then select groups and their weights. The window temporarily replaces the normal music mix; normal rotation returns afterward. Overlapping windows are rejected. An end time earlier than the start continues into the next day. Seasonal restrictions still apply. If selected groups have no available songs, other genres are not substituted. Music switches at the boundary, while sermons retain priority. For an optional DJ introduction, enter a description and check Announce this rotation with the DJ. Save early enough for the voice to prepare, then preview it. It plays once near the window start, using your description as written; if it is not ready during the first minute, music continues without it. Keep your station running.

Can the DJ announce a scheduled music window?

In Music library → Music rotation schedule, enter a DJ description and check Announce this rotation with the DJ. The DJ reads the description as written using the station’s configured voice. For example: “It’s Hip Hop Friday! Enjoy uplifting beats and encouragement for your day.” Save the schedule early enough for the voice to prepare, then use its preview player.

For an existing window, edit its description or checkbox and choose Save description & prepare voice. Unchecking turns the introduction off. It plays once near that window’s start, with repeat protection across restarts. Sermons take priority. If the introduction is not ready during the first minute, music continues without it; missed introductions are not played later in the window. Editing the description invalidates the old voice recording.

06 / DJ VOICE & STATION IDS

DJ voice & station IDs.

How do I generate a station ID?

Open DJ & station IDs, enter a line name and the exact words you want spoken, then choose Save & generate voice. Clips are prepared one at a time and may take several minutes. Preview the finished recording before approving it for rotation.

How should I write the script?

Write the words as you want them spoken, with ordinary punctuation and short sentences. Spell out an important time if the pronunciation needs help:

You're listening to our community station. Join us this Sunday at ten thirty A M. Everyone is welcome!

Bold formatting, all caps, or directions such as “scratch sound” do not reliably create acting, music, or sound effects. Preview the result and adjust the wording. If you need a particular sound effect, prepare a recording and upload that audio.

The voice sounds like an older recording.

An existing clip keeps the voice it was generated with. Regenerate that clip to use the current station voice, wait for the new recording to finish, then preview and approve it again. A voice change does not automatically replace all old audio.

Can I upload a finished jingle or spoken recording?

Yes. Use Upload DJ audio for MP3 or WAV station IDs, jingles, or spoken quips. Uploaded DJ audio joins rotation immediately, so check the recording before uploading.

How often does the DJ speak?

In Station settings, set the minimum and maximum number of songs between DJ breaks. Eligible, approved lines can then play between songs. Scheduled and immediate messages have their own broadcast controls.

07 / ANNOUNCEMENTS

Announcements.

How do I add an announcement?

Open Announcements in your studio and choose Write an announcement. Enter a title, the exact words the DJ should say, and the start, expiry, and event dates that apply. Save the draft, generate its voice, and approve it for rotation after previewing. Keep the spoken text clear and set the relevant dates. Preview the audio and approve the finished recording before relying on it in rotation.

How do I play a message now or at a set time?

Under Scheduled & immediate announcements, enter your message and expiry time, generate it, preview it, and approve it. Use the message's immediate-play or scheduling controls. Check the timezone label shown by those controls.

A scheduled or immediate message interrupts the current song; music continues with the next song afterward. Keep the station running. A scheduled broadcast more than a minute late is skipped.

How do I stop an outdated message?

Check its expiry and approval controls, and disable or withdraw it as appropriate. Check the broadcast queue separately and cancel any pending broadcast that should no longer run.

08 / SERMONS & SHOWS

Schedule sermons.

How do I add a sermon?

Open Sermons & shows in the studio. Upload an MP3 or PCM WAV recording, up to 300 MB and under three hours, with a title and speaker. Use recordings you have permission to broadcast. Preview the uploaded audio before scheduling it.

Can the DJ introduce a sermon?

Check Include DJ introduction when uploading or editing a sermon. Enter the sermon title, speaker (for example, Pastor John), and a short description, then save. The studio shows the spoken wording and queues audio using the station’s configured voice. Preview the generated introduction when ready. It plays immediately before that sermon, without a music break in between.

Editing the title, speaker or description queues a new introduction. Unchecking the option turns it off. If generation is pending or fails, the sermon still plays without the introduction; use Generate introduction to retry. Skipping during the intro skips the whole sermon show.

How do I play a sermon at a specific time?

Under the recording, choose a future date and select Book this date’s slot. All sermons use the time saved under Your sermon slot, in the station timezone. A dated recording replaces the rotation choice for that day. The sermon replaces the current music at its slot, then the station returns to whichever music rotation is active. Overlapping dated sermon bookings are rejected. You can cancel pending bookings in Schedule & recent shows.

How does recurring sermon rotation work?

Mark recordings In sermon rotation and save their details. Choose the shared sermon slot time, such as 10:30, and save. Enable Play a rotation sermon when no specific sermon is scheduled to fill dates without a specific booking. Dated bookings still play when this rotation option is off. Choose the repeat pattern under Repeat, then save the sermon schedule. One available recording plays on each matching day, choosing the least recently played sermon. These selections apply to the sermon show, not ordinary music rotation.

A specifically scheduled sermon has priority over the recurring selection, including on days outside the repeat pattern. A sermon already playing is never interrupted by another sermon; the conflicting slot is skipped. When no eligible recording exists, music continues. After a sermon finishes, music returns.

What happens if the station is stopped or a file is missing?

Keep the station running for shows. A dated booking more than a minute late is marked missed; recurring slots are not caught up later. A missing or archived recording is skipped. Archiving removes a recording from the active library and cancels its pending bookings, while preserving the file. Check show history for the result.

Can sermons repeat weekly, every two weeks, or monthly?

In Sermons & shows, choose a recurrence under Your sermon slot. Select Sunday, Thursday, or any combination for weekly and every-two-week schedules. The anchor date sets the first active week, beginning Monday. Monthly options use a calendar date or an occurrence such as first Sunday, third Thursday, or last Sunday. Missing calendar dates or fifth weekdays are skipped. Specific-date bookings take priority even on days outside the recurring pattern. If no rotation sermon is available, music continues. All times use the station timezone.

09 / WEBSITE & SPEAKER PLAYERS

Website players, speakers & station search.

How do I put a player on my church website?

Open Share & players in your studio. Copy the compact player’s embed code into a Custom HTML or Embed block on your website and publish the page. It contains your own station address. You can use the plain audio HTML instead if preferred. Listeners tap play; browsers generally block automatic audio. Your site builder or plan must allow custom HTML or iframe embeds.

What link should I use in Sonos?

Copy your Direct MP3 stream from Share & players. Add TuneIn to Sonos and use the same TuneIn account in the phone app. In the TuneIn phone app, use Library → Custom URL, enter the stream, play it, and save it as a favorite station. In Sonos, open Your services → TuneIn → Favorites. S1 users can use Browse → TuneIn → Favorites.

This adds a custom favorite; it does not submit your station to TuneIn’s public directory. Menus can change, and we have not tested your physical speaker. See Sonos’s instructions and TuneIn’s custom URL guide.

How do I save the player to my phone or tablet?

Use the colored Listen Live button to open the radio player, or open your church’s listening page to save that specific station. Tap Save player for device instructions. On iPhone or iPad, open the player in Safari, choose Share → Add to Home Screen, and keep Open as Web App enabled if offered. On Android, use Install app or Add to Home screen in your browser menu. The icon opens the player rather than the business homepage. Remove and recreate an older homepage shortcut if necessary.

The player needs an internet connection. Tap Play to start audio; saving the app does not bypass browser audio rules. The directory remembers your last available station and favorites on that device. Browse stations keeps audio playing in a compact player, and Open player returns to the full listening screen. Screen-lock controls depend on device/browser support.

What about VLC and other players?

Use the direct HTTPS MP3 stream, not your studio or listening-page address. In VLC desktop, use the Network/Open Network Stream command, paste the URL and play. Other internet-radio apps may call this Add station or Custom URL. Your station must be running and the device must support HTTPS MP3 radio. See the VLC guide.

How do listeners find churches?

Open the Ministry Radio station directory. Search by station name, community, description or music, filter for stations on air, and save favorites in this browser. Choose a station to listen in the page’s player. Only one directory stream plays at a time.

To appear in search, use Share & players → List my station in the public directory, enter your public description, city and music/topics, then save. Customer stations need an active subscription and must be ready. Test and inactive stations are not listed. Uncheck and save to remove your listing. Your customer email, billing and studio credentials are never included in the directory. An unlisted station’s shared listening link still works while its access is active.

10 / LISTENING & SHARING

Listening & sharing.

Which link should I share?

On My account, use Open listening page. Share that page's address with your church or school. You can also find the stream address in your studio's settings. Never share your password or a Stripe billing-portal session link.

Why do I have to tap Listen live?

Browsers normally require a tap or click before playing audio. Open the listening page and tap Listen live. Check the device volume, the tab's mute setting, and the selected speaker or headphone output.

Will the station stop when I close the studio?

The station runs on the server after you choose Start station. Closing your studio or listening tab does not itself press Stop station. Playback still depends on an active station, playable music, service availability, and the listener's connection.

The stream stopped or keeps buffering.

Tap Stop listening, then Listen live again. Check your network and try another device or connection. If every listener has the problem, check that the station is running and that selected music groups have eligible tracks.

11 / STATION SETTINGS

Station settings.

  • Name and branding: set your station name, studio heading, community line, and tagline.
  • Station logo: upload PNG, JPEG, or WebP artwork, up to 2 MB.
  • Timezone: choose your station's timezone and check date labels when setting seasons or announcement schedules.
  • DJ breaks: choose the minimum and maximum songs between breaks.
  • Weather: set your weather location, enable weather if wanted, and check the weather clip's status.

Choose Save settings after changes. Refresh your listening page if updated branding has not appeared yet.

12 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Quick fixes & getting help.

The station is running but I hear no music.
  1. Confirm the station is started in Overview.
  2. Select at least one music group with enabled songs.
  3. Check the active music window, per-song In rotation checkboxes, holiday dates, and announcement eligibility. An active window with no eligible songs does not substitute other genres.
  4. Open the listening page, tap Listen live, and check volume and mute settings.
  5. Refresh once and try another browser or device.
Voice generation is taking a long time.

Voice work is queued one clip at a time. Wait for the current job, then check its status. Avoid repeatedly pressing Generate. If a job fails, read its error and retry once after checking the text.

My imported music or new source folder is missing.

Allow about 15 minutes for the next catalog check, or choose Sync music now. Check the catalog status message. Newly discovered groups begin out of rotation, so select them if you want them to play.

I forgot my account password.

Choose Forgot your password and enter your account email. The emailed reset link expires after 30 minutes and works once. After saving a new password, sign in again. Check Junk or Trash if the email is missing, and make sure jorge@sundancebeats.com is not blocked. Resetting a password does not change your subscription or station.

I keep getting a password popup.

Your customer account uses the website's sign-in form. The site owner's separate studio may use a browser password prompt. Open your customer studio from My account and use your own listening link. If a popup appears during ordinary listening, report the exact page address and what you clicked.

What should I include when reporting a problem?

Email jorge@sundancebeats.com with the station name, page address, approximate time, what you were trying to do, and the exact error message. For billing, include an invoice or receipt reference if available. Never share your password, full card number, Stripe API keys, or webhook secrets.
